Acupuncture for Stress Management

Stress is defined as an environmental demand that strains an organism's adaptive capacity. Stress is said to be the leading cause of disease and can affect both the physical and emotional body. Chronic stress has been shown to negatively influence almost every system in the body, most commonly the cardiac system, digestive system, reproductive system, immune system, psychological, and musculoskeletal systems.

Juniper uses five elements acupuncture to regulate the release of endorphins, and cortisol, increase the capacity to rest and better equip patients to deal with their everyday stressors. While five elements work on the psycho-emotional body, it then can be combined with traditional acupuncture to work on the physical body.
